About this place
The Zoológico de Barranquilla, opened in 1953 and now run by the Fundación Botánica y Zoológica de Barranquilla, is the only zoo in the Colombian Caribbean region. It's home to more than 430 animals from 119 species, with a guided tour, an interactive farm, and a bird house, in a space designed for both conservation and environmental education. Tips: a great plan with kids in the morning, when the animals are most active. Getting there: Calle 67 #68-40, Barranquilla.
