About this place
A historic municipal theater opened in 1982 and declared a National Cultural Heritage Site. Its stage curtain, 'Se va el caimán,' was painted by Alejandro Obregón. Closed since 2016 due to structural risks, it's now undergoing a full restoration led by the Banco de la República (started Feb 2025, reopening projected for around 2028).
