About this place
A protected tropical dry forest reserve 4 miles (6 km) from downtown Usiacurí, surrounded by towering trees and howler monkeys. It was the first reserve declared in Atlántico and is a top destination for wildlife lovers and hikers alike, with birding and guided tours. It's home to 138 bird species, 19 amphibian species, 44 reptile species, and 43 mammal species, including the red howler monkey and the cotton-top tamarin.
With 243 recorded species, it holds the richest bird diversity in the department.
